The original Reflections on 2020 was born during an incredibly challenging year. It was a time marked by uncertainty, isolation, and collective hardship. Creating this piece was my way of staying lighthearted amid the difficulties. The playful image of a little old lady sticking her tongue out became a personal reminder to find moments of humor and resilience even when times felt overwhelming.
The “Mini” version retains much of the character of the original, scaled down to share its spirit in a new format. While some intricate details are simplified during the machine-cutting process, the hand-finished touches and hand-painted black and teal spray-painted backgrounds ensure each piece remains unique. This “Mini” is a tribute to the resilience of that time...a small, tangible reminder that finding lightness can help us weather even the hardest moments.
This piece comes mounted in an 11x14 ivory and gold mat with an acid-free backing board. Frame not included.

Canvas prints have 1.5" thick high-quality gallery wrapped canvases (staples are hidden on the back rather than the sides) with wooden stretcher bars. I don't use those compressed paper stretchers that you find in cheap canvas frames. pH neutral and acid-free canvases will not yellow over time. All this is to give you a quality product constructed to last for many decades.
Paper prints are printed on Premium Archival Smooth Matte Fine Art Paper. The paper supports accurate color reproduction and high-contrast, high-resolution output, and is acid-free for a longer print life with pigment inks. It features a heavyweight (230 gsm), and an instant-dry coating that resists fingerprints and smudging.
