Diatom

A collaboration project with artist Terry Crowe. This is a stylized design of a microscopic organism.

This artwork uses 4 layers of laser-cut paper spray painted with neutral colors. The bottom layer is a brass mesh. The top is hand-cut copper plate with a beautiful patina. The entire piece is attached to slate tiles mounted to a reclaimed wooden frame.
