This unique piece was created using different color plastic bags that were fused together along with paper recycled from previous projects. Each of these materials was hand-cut and assembled. All of the colors come from the bags ... no paint was used.

I created this piece specifically for The Politics of Sustainability: Fine Art Exhibition. This was a juried show where "Adrift" won second place.
I chose the combination of the sea turtle and the plastic bags to bring attention to the massive amount of plastic waste that finds its way into our oceans every day.
