18"x24" Cut Paper Painting

Sold

Hand-cut paper guitar leaning against a vintage door.

Made from a single piece of paper that was cut and painted with multiple spray paints. The background is walnut wood that was purposefully put together with slight gaps and variations in thickness to give a nod to the old door behind the guitar.

I designed and built the frame specifically for this piece. It is made from walnut with brushed aluminum inlays. It also has mother of pearl dots (used in guitar fretboards). I used red tortoise shell pickguard material as a mat surrounding the piece.
